Where was I in 1976 when the greatest play in baseball occurred? Most likely, just finishing up Air Force technical training school and getting ready for my first duty assignment at K.I. Sawyer AFB in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Over 30 years later, I finally got to see the video of Rick Monday running across the outfield to grab our country’s flag from out of the hands of two who were trying to set it on fire.
I wasn’t a baseball fan at that time. But after watching this video, you can bet I’m now a big Monday fan!
